I consider Vai the greatest living guitarist alive today. This is epic Steve. I saw this tour. Amazing. I just wish this was available in 5.1 and Blu-ray. I don't know who dropped the ball there. But if you love Vai, That shouldn't deter you at all from buying this. You can have EVH AND Satch. This guy is the real matter of goods instrument!

No matter how you cut it, Steve Vai is the consummate performer and whilst yes, he's not to everyone's tastes, you cannot but admire a technical musician at the top of his game with notes fired at a rate of knots or a single note held to soar to the very heavens, this man will always produce the goodies!
Now as it happens, I like Mr Vai because he's always pushing the envelope, and while some of his more recent studio offerings have been more than just a touch sterile in the search for musical perfection - but here, in the setting that always shows any flaws in a musical armoury, many of those "sterile tunes/songs, suddenly gain an air of humanity and shine like you would never believe that they could!
