Formed in 1967 Fleetwood Mac grew out of the 1960s british blues boom. At that time they were led by guitarist Peter Green. The early incarnation of the band achieved a UK number one with the instrument Albatros. However a lean spell followed and it was not until 1975, and after a myriad series of line up changes, that the halcyon years for fleetwood mac finally dawned
The band had by 1975 become a more rock oriented act and now featured the classic line up of Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Christine Mcvie, Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks. The unsung heroine was keyboardist Christine Mcvie who joined the band in 1970 while married to John McVie. Christine has appeared either as a member or a session musician on every fleetwood mac album except the debut album.
